To coincide with Children’s Day in Japan we will be hosting a Takenoko Tournament.

The entry fee is £5 and includes a complimentary tea or coffee

The tournament will be played three over rounds.

A fourth round may be played as a tie breaker if necessary.

Join us for a friendly afternoon of playing Open Combat by Second Thunder.

This is a  skirmish game where the rules cater for both fantasy and historic combat.  Where it is up to the player to decide what abilities each model should have.  Maybe you want a particularly tough elf or a an accurate skeleton archer.  What about if you wanted them to fight Normans?  Sure no problem – truly Open Combat.

There will be games all day, complimentary Tea & Coffee.

Oh and a strong chance the writer of the game will attend.

As usual a tournament with a twist.  This time a knock-out tournament.

Registration will be at 11:30am and play will commence at 12:00 until the games finish.  There will be an opportunity to break for lunch.

Each round a player will be eliminated.

Play will continue until there is one player.

This game sees elf and their companions engaging in magical and physical duels over the table top.

In their own words:

The Elf King suffered a sickness of the soul. A twilight of melancholy fell upon this King and he passed into the Outworlds, never to be seen again… The power of his circle was diminished by his passing, leaving his offspring in a perilous state.

War came to these islands in the form of the Fae Revanche. A reign of terror swept the land, decimating the already dwindling Fae of Ȇas. The war is one borne from panic without reason, is self defeating and will eventually lead to the devastation of all.

Whether you are starting out or a veteran tournament player of Kings of War this event is for you.

No problem feel free to drop in with your army and play a few games.

Car Park of DOOM!

A large car-park presents an opportunity for a number of survival groups.  Play will take place on a 4′ x 4′ area.  A number of cars will be setup among other terrain  pieces.   Secret Mission objective will also be used in this scenario.

The winner will be the player who amasses the most Victory Points.  Each search token is worth one victory point. Secret mission objectives are worth 1 or 2 victory point.

It is up to the players whether or not they wish to co-operate, form or break alliances.

Please bring:

A survival group  of 250 points, preferably painted.  One player created character may be used in this force.  Stats of said character must be uploaded and / or emailed to the store 48 hours before the game beings.
